With an objective to further strengthen primary healthcare services in the national capital, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia recently inaugurated ten new mohalla clinics in different parts of Delhi.

As per officials, mohalla clinics were opened in the CR Park, Greater Kailash-I, Greater Kailash-II, Shahpur Jat, Khirki Flats, Savitri Nagar, Chirag Delhi and Sheikh Sarai areas, they added

Last month Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain had said the government in the national capital was “much confident” about meeting its overall target of building 1,000 mohalla clinics by the end of the year. Currently, the number of mohalla clinics stood at 201, he had said.

The clinics were started on 2 October to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Two foot overbridges were, one in Chirag Delhi and other in Sheikh Sarai were also inaugurated on this occasion.
