Atal Mohalla Clinics

In an endeavour to boost healthcare delivery system in cities, the Jharkhand Government has started Atal Mohalla Clinic in different parts of the State. Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Friday inaugurated the clinic on the occasion of first Death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Initially a total of 25 clinics will be established across 15 districts. The target is to set up 100 such clinics till September 25. The clinics aim to provide primary care to masses in their vicinities only. Patients would get free medical facilities along with medicines at these clinics. There would be 4 such clinics in Ranchi, Dhanwad, and West Singhbhum , while 2 each in Bokaro, Deogarh, and Hajaribagh.

2 crore 85 lakh people will be covered by Golden Card


Recently while delivering speech at Healthcare Summit Jharkhand organised by Elets Technomedia, the Chief Minister had said a total of 2 crore 85 lakh people of the State will be covered by Golden Card under Ayushman Bharat Yojna till September 25. He also announced that the government will waive the fee being taken for the golden card in the Pragya Kendras from August 16, 2019, for the poor.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, golden cards have been made available to 39,13,000 families. To provide maximum benefit of the scheme to the poor, a 300-bed hospital has been arranged in Jamshedpur, where only patients coming under the Ayushman Bharat scheme will be treated.
