Chandigarh: The Union Territory Administration will soon start Emergency Response Services in the city which will be then synchronised with the neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana.


Under the services, 10 ambulances will be launched in city in a phased manner, five for Advanced Life Support (ALS) first and five for Basic Life Support (BLS) in the second phase.

These will be launched in addition to the existing ambulance service being provided by the Chandigarh Administration.

For the purpose, a meeting chaired by the UT Home Secretary-cum-Health Secretary, Anil Kumar was held on Wednesday. The meeting deliberated upon the modalities of the services.
