UK-based Malvern Instruments has signed a development and licensing agreement with Paraytec, under which Paraytec will add its ActiPix technology to Malvern’s materials characterisation portfolio. The agreement will give Malvern exclusive rights to further develop market and sell ActiPix UV area imaging technology, used for applications in biopharmaceuticals, foods and personal care industrial sectors. Malvern Instruments managing director Paul Walker said Paraytec’s UV area imaging technology offers great potential for further developing and enhancing their product range for particle size and viscosity determination. Paraytec manufactures and distributes instrumentation for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical applications based on its patented ActiPix technology.
