A Denver software company has signed a deal with MedStar Health to use its technology to help track blood donors. Software from Global Med Technologies Inc. will be used on MedStar’s blood mobile vehicle.

The vehicle will use the software to track blood donor information at all of its eight hospitals and share that information with its other hospitals. Columbia-based MedStar’s hospitals in Greater Washington, D.C., include Montgomery General Hospital, Georgetown University Hospital, National Rehabilitation Hospital and Washington Hospital Center. MedStar also operates Franklin Square Hospital Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Harbor Hospital and Union Memorial Hospital in Greater Baltimore.
