As Reliance ADA Group goes for a big push in the healthcare segment, group company Medybiz is finalising a disease management venture aimed at treating chronic ailments through health management strategies. Medybiz is currently giving final touches to its disease management module under which its panel of medical and para-medical professionals will work in partnership with physician and patients. “Our teams of medical specialists are developing unique disease management programmes to address various chronic ailments,” a company official said. These programmes will help people change unhealthy lifestyles that lead to chronic diseases, improve self-care skills during an illness and make cost-effective healthcare decisions, he added. The official, however, declined to comment on the details such as the size network of physicians that the company planned to tie up with. Under its home-based disease management programme, Medybiz aims to address various chronic ailments such as diabetes, coronary heart diseases, hypertension and obesity. A team of patient-care utives will help monitor and track the patients’ compliance to the prescribed therapy round the clock. “Moreover, we will also ensure that the medicine dosage is continuously monitored and the patients’ medicines are delivered at their doorstep,” the official said.
