HealthSignz, which is an artificial intelligence-driven healthcare platform, has raised $5 mn in a Pre-series A funding. The round was led by Dr Kantilal Patel who is founder of New Zealand-based Nirvana Health Group.
The Bengaluru and Hyderabad-based healthcare start-up HealthSignz plans to use the fund to scale-up its existing infrastructure enabling people a better patient care.
The AI based platform, which caters to both B2B and B2C users, is currently running in a pilot mode. It was launched in 2014 by Hanumantha Rao along with three other co-founders, Dr Vinod P Nair, Dr Ram Papa Rao and Surendranath C.
“Accessibility and affordability to basic healthcare treatment continue to be a challenge in India. We see HealthSignz delivering great value for capital-intensive tertiary care centre to stand alone practising providers for treating illness, and enhancing overall wellness through disease prevention,” Hanumantha Rao, co-founder and CEO, HealthSignz, was quoted as saying.
The Start-up which have tied-up with hospitals, pharma and diagnostics to help customers get the required service, plans to commercially launch the platform by August 2018.
“We are excited to partner with the HealthSignz team and help drive the technology into other markets. With increasing population and healthcare needs, we see a huge potential for AI solutions to restructure how medical care is delivered,” Dr Kantilal Patel said.
