Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has intensified the state’s efforts to eliminate tuberculosis (TB), calling on citizens, healthcare professionals, and community organisations to actively support the Government of India’s TB-Free India campaign.

Emphasising the importance of early diagnosis, timely treatment, and public awareness, the Chief Minister highlighted that community participation is essential to achieving the national goal of eliminating tuberculosis. She urged residents to encourage regular screening, reduce stigma associated with the disease, and ensure that patients complete their treatment.

The campaign focuses on strengthening TB surveillance, improving access to diagnostic and treatment services, promoting nutritional support for patients, and expanding community-led awareness initiatives.

Delhi’s renewed efforts are aligned with the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), which aims to accelerate India’s progress towards ending tuberculosis.
