The Government of India has launched Aarogya Setu 2.0, marking a significant upgrade to the country’s digital health ecosystem. The enhanced version of the application introduces five new features designed to simplify access to healthcare services, improve digital health record management, and strengthen integration with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).

One of the key additions is the ability for users to securely access and manage their digital health records through the app. This enables individuals to view medical history, prescriptions, laboratory reports, and other health documents in one place, reducing the need for physical records and making healthcare information more accessible.

The updated platform also allows users to locate nearby Ayushman Bharat-enabled hospitals and healthcare facilities with greater ease. By helping beneficiaries identify empanelled hospitals and available services, the app aims to improve access to government-backed healthcare schemes, particularly in underserved regions.

In addition, Aarogya Setu 2.0 offers a more seamless connection with the broader ABDM framework, enabling users to manage their health information through a unified digital interface. The enhanced user experience, improved navigation, and stronger privacy measures are expected to encourage wider adoption of digital healthcare services across the country.
