Google & Max Hospital

Max Healthcare has entered into a strategic collaboration with Google to enable direct hospital appointment bookings through Google Search and Google Maps, strengthening its digital access strategy and simplifying how patients connect with clinical services.

Under the partnership, users searching for Max Hospitals, individual doctors, or specific medical specialities on Google will now see a “Book Online” option within search results and Maps listings. Selecting this option redirects users to Max Healthcare’s official appointment booking platform, significantly reducing friction in the booking journey.

The integration is powered by Google’s Appointments Redirect capability, which allows healthcare providers to route users securely from Google platforms to their authenticated booking systems. Max Healthcare said the approach ensures patients reach verified and up-to-date information via official channels, minimising reliance on third-party or unverified sources during care discovery.

For hospital systems, the move addresses a critical drop-off point in the patient journey. A growing proportion of patients begin their care search online, making search platforms a key entry point into healthcare access. By embedding booking functionality at the point of search, Max Healthcare aims to reduce delays, improve conversion, and enhance overall patient experience.

Commenting on the initiative, Anas Abdul Wajid, Senior Director and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Max Healthcare, said that simplifying the transition from online search to confirmed appointment is central to the organisation’s digital roadmap. He noted that the integration supports Max Healthcare’s broader digital transformation efforts focused on operational efficiency, trust, and patient-centric access.

The direct booking feature will be rolled out across all Max Healthcare facilities, offering a consistent experience for patients regardless of location. Users accessing hospital listings via Google Maps can also move seamlessly from discovery to appointment scheduling within a few clicks.

The collaboration reflects a wider trend in healthcare delivery, where providers are increasingly leveraging search-led digital tools to improve access, accuracy, and engagement. For Max Healthcare, the integration represents another step toward building a more connected, efficient, and digitally enabled healthcare ecosystem that aligns with evolving patient expectations.
