Revolutionising Diagnostic Imaging with Excel 3T MRI, Advanced Technologies, and Sustainable Design.

Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Vinai Kumar Saxena, inaugurated the state-of-the-art Mahajan Imaging & Labs Centre at Dwarka. Marking a national first, the centre introduces the Ultra-Fast AI-Powered Excel 3T MRI Scanner, setting a new standard for advanced medical imaging and integrated diagnostics in India.

This launch positions Delhi at the forefront of global healthcare innovation, merging cutting-edge diagnostic technology with a patient-first approach and a conscious focus on sustainable healthcare infrastructure.

Excel 3T MRI: A Game-Changer in Diagnostic Imaging

Making its global debut in India, the Excel 3T MRI scanner is designed to deliver up to 50% better signal-to-noise ratio, enabling highly detailed imaging in significantly less time. For example, complex cardiac MRI scans, which traditionally took over an hour, can now be completed in just 30–40 minutes. The scanner is powered by a suite of AI-enabled innovations, including:

  • AI-driven reconstruction algorithms
  • Real-time motion correction
  • Contactless respiratory tracking
  • 5th generation acceleration technologies
  • Compressed sensing capabilities

Its immersive in-bore experience, coupled with automated workflows, greatly enhances patient comfort, particularly benefiting children, elderly individuals, and patients with anxiety or claustrophobia.

A Milestone for Preventive and Cardiac Health

Dr. Harsh Mahajan, Founder & Chairman, Mahajan Imaging & Labs, emphasised the urgent need for high-resolution cardiac imaging given the rising burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in India. “There is growing clinical demand for Cardiac MRI owing to its superior capability in assessing myocardial function and viability. Our Excel 3T MRI dramatically reduces scan times and enhances diagnostic accuracy, addressing long-standing compliance challenges,” he said.

Data from the World Health Organisation reveals that 63% of deaths in India are linked to NCDs, with 27% attributed to cardiovascular diseases. Alarmingly, cardiac disease accounts for 45% of deaths among individuals aged 40–69, with early onset and higher fatality rates prevalent among urban Indian populations.

Redefining Patient-Centric Diagnostics

The Dwarka centre offers an integrated suite of advanced diagnostic services, combining radiology, laboratory medicine, genomics, and preventive health within a single facility. Designed with natural light, eco-conscious materials, and energy-efficient systems, the space aims to create a healing environment that minimises patient anxiety.

Founder & Chairman, Dr. Harsh Mahajan noted, “This facility is not just about the latest equipment. It’s about reimagining diagnostics, delivering high-end precision care in spaces that promote emotional comfort and well-being.”

Comprehensive, AI-Enabled Diagnostic Ecosystem

The newly launched centre is equipped with a full spectrum of advanced tools, including:

  • 128-slice Cardiac CT Scanner
  • Full-Field Digital Mammography
  • 3D/4D AI-Enabled Ultrasound
  • Digital X-Ray
  • DEXA Bone Densitometry (BMD)
  • Echocardiography, Holter, and PFT systems

Many of these systems are AI-integrated, optimising both accuracy and efficiency, and creating a truly intelligent diagnostics workflow.

Strengthening Local Healthcare Infrastructure

Kabir Mahajan, Chief Operating Officer, outlined the larger vision behind the expansion. “Our focus is to bring quality diagnostics closer to communities, with neighbourhood collection centres linked to centralised labs and full-fledged radiology facilities,” he shared.
He added, “As we build on our integrated diagnostics model, we aim to deepen our contributions to preventive healthcare, especially for lifestyle and non-communicable diseases, and scale our operations in North India.”

Public-Private Collaboration: A Call to Action

Speaking at the launch, Hon’ble LG Vinai Kumar Saxena highlighted the importance of collaborative models in healthcare. “This centre is a beacon of what future-ready healthcare looks like. With the rising incidence of cardiac and other NCDs, we invite more private healthcare innovators to work with the Government to enhance access and affordability,” he remarked.

Mahajan Imaging & Labs is a leading provider of high-end integrated diagnostic services in India, specialising in radiology, pathology, PET-CT, nuclear medicine, genomics, and AI-powered solutions. With 11 operational centres across Delhi NCR—including standalone locations and in-hospital partnerships—the organisation is also involved in advanced research collaborations with institutions such as MIT (Boston), Max Planck Institute, AIIMS Delhi, and IIT Delhi.

Mahajan Imaging continues to lead innovation in Indian healthcare by consistently introducing first-in-market technologies such as Silent MRI, Standing MRI, Spectral CT, and 4D Ultrasound, among others.

The opening of the Dwarka centre signals a powerful evolution in India’s diagnostic landscape—one where AI, accessibility, and sustainability converge to deliver next-generation healthcare. As diagnostic demands grow in scale and complexity, Mahajan Imaging & Labs is shaping a future where precision meets compassion, and where every scan is a step toward smarter, faster, and more inclusive care.
