The healthcare innovation landscape is buzzing with momentum as three healthtech startups, EMVision, Biopeak, and Iom Bioworks, secure significant funding to advance solutions in brain scanning, AI-powered preventive care, and gut microbiome health. These breakthroughs mark a transformative phase for global and Indian health ecosystems.
EMVision Secures $5M to Fast-Track Portable Brain Scanner Commercialisation
Australia-based EMVision Medical Devices Ltd has received a $5 million non-dilutive grant from the Australian Government’s Industry Growth Program. The funding aims to accelerate global commercialisation of its First Responder portable brain scanner, a breakthrough device designed to enable rapid, on-site stroke and traumatic brain injury diagnosis by paramedics. The scanner is poised to revolutionise emergency care by delivering critical imaging capabilities directly to the point of need, saving time, lives, and costs.

Biopeak Raises $3.5M to Expand AI-Driven Preventive Health Clinics Across India
Bengaluru-based Biopeak, founded in 2024, has raised $3.5 million (~INR 29 crore) in seed funding to scale its network of AI-powered preventive health clinics across India. Investors include Accel’s Prashanth Prakash, Claypond Capital (backed by Manipal Group Chairman Ranjan Pai), and NKSquared (Zerodha Co-founder Nikhil Kamath).
Biopeak combines molecular diagnostics, non-invasive imaging, and AI to identify early physiological changes and tailor health plans aimed at extending not just lifespan, but healthspan. Their clinics integrate microbiome mapping, functional genomics, and advanced screening protocols, setting a new bar in personalised wellness care.

Iom Bioworks Receives ₹4 Cr from IPV to Scale AI-Driven Microbiome Platform
Deep-science startup Iom Bioworks has raised ₹4 crore in seed funding from Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) to scale its AI-led gut microbiome platform for preventive and therapeutic wellness. With two global patents secured, the company is leveraging computational biology to decode gut health, offering users actionable, personalised insights on digestion, metabolism, immunity, and mental well-being.
The founding team includes leaders in AI and microbiome science, such as Bipin Pradeep Kumar, Dr. Samik Ghosh, and Dr. Hiroaki Kitano, a pioneer in systems biology and AI.
