Aster DM Healthcare, one of India’s foremost integrated healthcare providers, has announced the launch of its fourth multispecialty hospital in Bengaluru with a substantial investment of ₹480 crore. The upcoming 430-bed facility, to be located in the rapidly growing Sarjapur area, marks a strategic milestone in Aster’s expansion in the southern market and is poised to elevate the brand into the top tier of healthcare providers in the city, with a cumulative capacity of over 2,000 beds.
The state-of-the-art hospital will be developed in two phases over a built-up area of 400,000 square feet. The first phase, comprising 300 beds, is targeted for completion by the latter half of FY27, with the remaining 130 beds expected to be commissioned by FY29.

Highlighting the company’s strategic priorities, Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder and Chairman, Aster DM Healthcare, said, “This new facility in Sarjapur represents a crucial step in our vision to deliver cutting-edge, patient-focused care in high-growth urban micro-markets. Designed from inception with a strong focus on oncology, the hospital will be equipped to meet the evolving healthcare demands of the city’s expanding population.”
Strategically located in South-East Bengaluru, Sarjapur has emerged as a major IT and residential hub, driven by large-scale infrastructure developments. These include a proposed 1,050-acre IT park by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) and the upcoming Phase 3 Metro line, enhancing accessibility from key business districts such as Whitefield, Outer Ring Road, and Marathahalli.

This expansion aligns with Aster’s mission to build a robust and geographically balanced healthcare network across Bengaluru. With this move, the healthcare major is solidifying its presence across all major city zones, thereby addressing growing regional demand and contributing to the decentralisation of quality medical services.
The Sarjapur hospital will feature a comprehensive suite of speciality and super-speciality services, with a strong emphasis on cancer care. In addition to strengthening Aster’s oncology footprint, the facility is expected to cater to the broader healthcare requirements of the burgeoning residential and commercial population in the area.
Currently, Aster DM Healthcare operates 19 hospitals, 13 clinics, over 200 pharmacies, and 250+ labs across five Indian states, in addition to a strong international presence in the GCC region.
This latest investment underscores Aster’s long-term commitment to enhancing access to high-quality healthcare in India’s Tier-I cities, through infrastructure that supports clinical excellence, operational scalability, and patient-centric service delivery.
