In a strategic leadership move aimed at accelerating growth in the wellness sector, Agrizy, a rising B2B agri-food tech platform, has announced the appointment of Dr. S. Vijaya Kumar as the Chief Executive Officer of its Wellness Business division.

With over 35 years of global experience in life sciences, nutraceuticals, and pharmaceuticals, Dr. Kumar’s induction marks a significant milestone in Agrizy’s journey to create differentiated value offerings in the fast-evolving wellness landscape. He will lead the vertical’s long-term strategy, operations, and growth roadmap, aligning with the company’s broader mission of technological empowerment and supply chain transformation.

Agrizy, co-founded by Saket Chirania and Vicky Dodani, connects agri-food processors with major brands while enabling MSMEs to enhance their productivity, standardize operations, and access capital. The addition of Dr. Kumar is expected to further deepen its capabilities in the wellness vertical, which spans nutraceuticals, botanical extracts, and food supplements—sectors that are witnessing growing demand among health-conscious consumers and global buyers.

Dr. Kumar’s leadership journey includes impactful tenures at top-tier organizations such as Dr. Reddy’s, Aurobindo Pharma, Novartis, Jubilant, GlaxoSmithKline, McKinsey, and more recently Biocon, Sami-Sabinsa, and Botanic Health. His rich expertise includes greenfield project execution, regulatory strategy, continuous manufacturing, and supply chain optimization—critical competencies as Agrizy aims to scale responsibly and efficiently.

His experience in deploying TPM, TQM, and CAPEX management strategies is expected to help Agrizy achieve its quality benchmarks while maintaining agility and cost efficiency.
