
The National Health Authority (NHA) has appointed Deepti Gaur Mukerjee as its new CEO. Deepti Gaur Mukerjee, a 1993 batch IAS officer from the Madhya Pradesh cadre, will be taking on this crucial role in the organization.
The NHA, India’s apex body responsible for overseeing the implementation of key healthcare initiatives, including the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), made the announcement via their official Twitter account. In a tweet, they expressed their warm welcome to Smt. Deepti Gaur Mukerjee, IAS (MP:93), on her appointment as CEO of NHA.

Mukerjee assumes the position previously held by Dr. Ram Sewak Sharma, who had completed his tenure and stepped down on January 31, 2023. Dr. Sharma had been appointed as the CEO of NHA in February 2021 and played a significant role in advancing the government’s healthcare initiatives, especially in the digital health infrastructure domain.

This appointment signifies a crucial development in India’s healthcare landscape, as Deepti Gaur Mukerjee takes on the responsibility of leading NHA in its mission to provide quality healthcare services to the nation through flagship programs like AB PM-JAY and ABDM.
