The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bibinagar, in Telangana’s Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district has rolled out the AIIMS Bibinagar Swasthya mobile app, letting patients register with their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA), book outpatient (OPD) appointments, pay for tests through UPI and download lab reports. Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy highlighted the app on 7 November 2026.

The institute announced the service on 6 November 2026 as a way to cut the queues that form at its registration, billing and laboratory counters every morning. The app, listed on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store under the developer name CDAC Noida, extends the push to digitise patient journeys that eHealth has tracked since the ABDM shift from the ABHA app to Aarogya Setu 2.0.
What the AIIMS Bibinagar Swasthya app offers patients
According to the hospital, the app brings four routine steps of a government hospital visit onto a phone:

- Registration: patients log in with a mobile number and one-time password (OTP) and create their hospital record linked to an ABHA ID.
- OPD booking: new and returning patients can book consultations department-wise before travelling to the campus.
- UPI billing: charges for prescribed laboratory and diagnostic tests can be paid in the app’s billing section; the receipt can be downloaded and shown at the sample collection counter.
- Lab reports: blood, urine and other test results can be viewed and downloaded as soon as they are released.
The App Store listing adds that patients can view prescriptions, hospital tariffs and lab and OPD enquiry details, while doctors can create prescriptions and review patient reports in the same system.
Why a patient app matters at a busy new AIIMS
AIIMS Bibinagar was set up under Phase VII of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) and has been under development since June 2022 at a cost of ₹1,110.55 crore. At a review on 9 July 2026, the Union Health Ministry said the institute was serving about 1,800 outpatients a day with 250 inpatient beds, and that around 90 per cent of its patients were already registered under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), as noted in the official PIB release on the AIIMS Bibinagar review.
With that level of ABDM registration, an ABHA-linked app gives the hospital a ready base of digital records to connect appointments, bills and reports. It follows other public-sector efforts to move OPD access off the counter, such as Bihar’s planned AI call centre for government hospital OPD slots.
Minister calls it patient-centric care
G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Coal and Mines and Member of Parliament from Secunderabad, described the app as “a welcome step towards technology-driven, seamless and patient-centric healthcare delivery.” He had reviewed the institute’s progress with Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda in July 2026.
AIIMS Bibinagar already offers teleconsultations through eSanjeevani across all 33 districts of Telangana and serves patients under the PMJAY-Aarogyasri scheme. The national telemedicine platform recently crossed 50 crore teleconsultations, and India has linked more than 100 crore health records to ABHA.
