London-headquartered digital healthcare company Voy has officially entered the Indian market through the acquisition of EarlyFit, one of India’s leading online weight-loss and obesity-care platforms. The move marks a significant development in India’s rapidly expanding digital healthcare and preventive wellness ecosystem, particularly in the high-growth obesity and GLP-1 treatment segment.
Backed by a US$120 million non-equity growth facility from General Catalyst, Voy has been aggressively expanding globally across digital healthcare and preventive medicine markets. The company already operates across the UK, Germany, and Brazil, where it has collectively served more than 20 lakh patients through technology-led healthcare delivery models.
With the acquisition, Voy India aims to address what it describes as a fast-growing obesity management opportunity in India, where lifestyle diseases, metabolic disorders, and obesity-related health conditions are seeing a sharp rise across urban and semi-urban populations.
The company plans to initially focus on obesity and weight-loss treatment through clinically supervised and evidence-based care models, including affordable generic semaglutide therapies that have become increasingly accessible following the expiry of Ozempic’s patent in India earlier this year.
Voy India will continue operating through a network of over 20 endocrinologists and nutrition specialists led by Dr. Saptarshi Bhattacharya, DM Endocrinology from AIIMS, alongside EarlyFit co-founders Parth Chopra and Saloni Paliwal.
Industry observers believe the development reflects a larger global trend where digital-first healthcare platforms are increasingly targeting India’s preventive healthcare and chronic disease management market. The country’s growing digital health adoption, expanding middle-class healthcare spending, and rising awareness around metabolic health are attracting international healthtech and wellness players.
Voy has also indicated plans to gradually expand into adjacent therapeutic segments such as dermatology, hormonal health, menopause care, testosterone replacement therapy, and hair-loss treatment by leveraging its global clinical and technology infrastructure.
George Pallis, Founder and CEO of Voy, described the acquisition as an important milestone in building Voy into a truly global healthcare platform, while highlighting the alignment between Voy and EarlyFit around patient-centric and quality-driven healthcare delivery.
According to the company, a peer-reviewed study involving over 125,000 patients globally demonstrated that Voy’s integrated obesity-care model delivered an average weight loss of 24% over 12 months, significantly outperforming medication-only treatment approaches.

The expansion also signals increasing global investor interest in India’s digital therapeutics, obesity care, and preventive healthcare sectors, which are expected to witness strong growth amid rising chronic disease prevalence and greater adoption of AI-enabled, remote, and personalised healthcare models.
