Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹46.51 crore to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and diagnostic capacity at major public healthcare institutions in Cuttack, Odisha.
Under the agreement with Srirama Chandra Bhanja Medical College and Hospital (SCB MCH), MCL will fund the procurement and installation of two 128-slice dual energy CT scan machines and one 1.5 Tesla MRI system. The investment is aimed at expanding advanced imaging services, improving diagnostic throughput, and supporting clinical operations at one of Odisha’s largest tertiary care hospitals.
The deployment of high-end radiology equipment is expected to enhance hospital diagnostic capabilities, optimise patient workflow, and strengthen institutional capacity for specialised medical services.
In a separate MoU with the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Paediatrics (SVPPGIP), Cuttack, MCL will provide three battery-operated passenger vehicles to improve internal patient mobility and streamline service delivery within the paediatric healthcare facility.
The initiatives are being implemented under MCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework, focusing on healthcare infrastructure augmentation and service delivery support in government hospitals.
The investment reflects continued industry participation in strengthening public healthcare systems through technology upgrades, diagnostic expansion, and operational support for high-volume medical institutions.
