In a landmark move, Vasa Denticity Ltd., the parent company of Dentalkart and a key player in dental e-commerce, has acquired a 51% stake in IDS Denmed Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s most prominent traditional dental distribution firms. The strategic move is set to create the country’s most extensive hybrid supply network, seamlessly integrating digital and offline dental procurement ecosystems.

This development marks a significant inflexion point for the Indian dental B2B space, as it brings together the technological backbone and product depth of Dentalkart with the deep-rooted dealer network and market reach of IDS Denmed. The integration promises to revolutionise the accessibility, affordability, and efficiency of dental supplies across India, from metropolitan hubs to remote Tier 2 and 3 towns.

Vasa Denticity, on the other hand, has established itself as the fastest-growing dental e-commerce platform in the country, offering over 22,000 SKUs and servicing more than 2.5 lakh dental professionals.

The acquisition is structured through a combination of cash and equity swap, with the IDS Denmed leadership continuing in operational roles to ensure strategic continuity and smooth integration.

According to the companies, the combined entity will now reach over 90% of India’s dental clinics, enabling faster deliveries, optimised inventory management, and unified service offerings. Further plans include introducing AI-powered tools, digital financing options, and continuous learning modules for dental professionals under a consolidated platform.
