In a significant move towards enhancing digital healthcare in India, Samsung has partnered with health-tech company Eka Care to introduce a groundbreaking “Health Records” feature on the Samsung Health app. This initiative aligns with the Indian government’s Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), aimed at digitizing healthcare and providing secure access to health records.
The newly launched Health Records feature allows users to create and manage their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) directly within the Samsung Health app. Through this integration, users can access and manage their health data, including prescriptions, lab results, hospital visits, and other medical records, generated by healthcare providers across India.
Kyungyun Roo, Managing Director of Samsung Research Institute, Noida, emphasized the company’s dedication to enhancing user experiences, stating, “Samsung continually prioritizes customer needs by enhancing products and services that improve their daily lives. The Health Records feature within the Samsung Health app is a testament to our commitment to providing seamless access to digital health records, empowering users to manage their health securely and efficiently.”

This feature, developed collaboratively by Samsung’s R&D, UX Design, and Consumer Experience teams in partnership with Eka Care, offers a streamlined registration process for ABHA accounts using Aadhaar or mobile numbers. Once registered, users can securely access their medical history, enabling better health management and informed decision-making.
Deepak Tuli, Co-founder of Eka Care, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “Our collaboration with Samsung marks a significant milestone in accelerating the adoption of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission across India. Together, we are fostering a connected and efficient healthcare ecosystem by bringing secure and accessible health record management to millions of Indians.”
This partnership underscores Samsung’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology into everyday life, empowering users with tools for better health management while supporting the government’s vision of a digitally connected healthcare infrastructure.
