Max Healthcare Institute has announced the appointment of Dr. Pranav C. Mehta as an Independent Director, effective August 26, 2024. Dr. Mehta brings a wealth of experience as a senior healthcare executive and thought leader, renowned for leading large-scale, integrated health systems and driving transformative change across various healthcare organisations.

As the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the American and Atlantic Groups at HCA Healthcare, Dr. Mehta managed a portfolio of 140 hospitals across the United States and the United Kingdom. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing clinical performance, optimising care delivery, and implementing key initiatives, including enhancing stroke care and reducing mortality rates in cardiovascular procedures.

Dr. Mehta’s career is marked by his dual expertise in clinical and business strategies, which he utilises to improve patient outcomes through data-driven approaches and innovative solutions. He has previously held significant roles at Northwell Health and Metropolitan Hospital Centre, where he managed extensive networks of ambulatory care practices and directed operations for numerous primary and speciality care clinics.

A holder of a Physician Executive MBA and multiple board certifications, Dr. Mehta is recognised for his contributions to healthcare quality and safety. His academic background includes a Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College and various postgraduate trainings, such as fellowships in Educational Leadership and Underserved Medicine. He is a Nashville Health Care Council Fellow and a Thomas C. Dolan Executive Diversity Program Scholar, reflecting his commitment to advancing healthcare excellence and equity.
