In a dedicated move towards enhancing healthcare accessibility, the Union Health Ministry has officially launched the myCGHS app for iOS devices. The inauguration ceremony, graced by Shri Apurva Chandra, Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, marks a significant leap in revolutionizing healthcare services under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).

The myCGHS app, meticulously developed by the technical teams of the National Informatics Centre (NIC) Himachal Pradesh and NIC Health Team, is poised to empower CGHS beneficiaries with unparalleled convenience in managing their healthcare needs. Offering a plethora of features, the app serves as a comprehensive platform for accessing Electronic Health Records, crucial information, and resources essential for CGHS beneficiaries.


Union Health Secretary, in his address, underscored the transformative potential of the myCGHS app, stating, “This initiative aligns with the government’s vision of leveraging technology to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare services.” The app encapsulates a wide array of services, including seamless appointment booking and cancellation, downloading CGHS cards and index cards, accessing lab reports from CGHS labs, monitoring medicine history, and checking medical reimbursement claim status.

Furthermore, the app incorporates robust security measures such as 2-factor authentication and mPIN functionality to safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of users’ data, ensuring peace of mind for beneficiaries.

Smt. Roli Singh, Addl. Secretary, Union Health Ministry, and Dr. Manashvi Kumar, Joint Secretary, Union Health Ministry, graced the occasion, highlighting the government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure and services.
