In a bid to enhance healthcare accessibility for employees, pensioners, and their dependents, the National Health Authority (NHA) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). This collaboration aims to extend cashless healthcare services to approximately 30,000 ICMR serving employees, pensioners, and their dependents across the country.
Under the MoU, beneficiaries will have access to cashless healthcare services in Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) empaneled hospitals in all States and Union Territories. This initiative marks a significant step towards ensuring comprehensive healthcare coverage for ICMR personnel and their families, facilitating timely access to quality medical care without financial constraints.
The collaboration between NHA and ICMR underscores the commitment of both organizations to prioritize the health and well-being of employees and their dependents. By extending cashless healthcare services through the widely accessible AB PM-JAY network, the initiative aims to alleviate the burden of healthcare expenses and promote holistic healthcare access for ICMR personnel nationwide.
This partnership reinforces the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and ensuring equitable access to healthcare services for all sections of society. By leveraging the expansive AB PM-JAY network, the collaboration between NHA and ICMR sets a benchmark for public-private partnerships aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery and improving health outcomes across the country.
