AIIMS-Delhi has broadened its commitment to patient care by adding 63 additional drugs to its free medicine list. With the recent expansion, the list now comprises 359 medications, up from 296. Dr M Srinivas, Director of the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences, believes this move will notably assist the underprivileged.

Among the newly included drugs are Palbociclib, Dasatinib, Methotrexate, Trimazet, Magesterol Acetate, and Leucovorin. Moreover, injections like regular insulin, NPH Insulin, and Insulin Premix 30/70 will now be accessible at no charge.

Highlighting the institute’s dedication, Dr Rima Dada, Professor in-charge of the Media Cell, remarked, “The pharmacy has always stood as a pillar of hope for those patients who, due to financial hurdles, struggle to afford essential medicines.” She further added that this initiative is in line with the government’s aim of ensuring that quality healthcare is available to everyone.
