The Uttar Pradesh government is working in a planned and phased manner to expand the healthcare facilities and improve the medical and health infrastructure in the state. Along with providing better healthcare facilities to the people of the state, the government is also providing free check-up facilities. Dialysis centers are being operated in about 54 districts, whereas CT scan units are functional in 59 districts of the state.

The presence of Dialysis centers operating under PPP Model in previously unserved districts have provided a lot of relief to the people of the state. There is a provision of six to ten beds in each unit. CT scan services under free diagnostic services are functional in 59 districts of the state, which has benefited nearly 7,94,733 beneficiaries.

Free dialysis facilities have been made available in 54 districts under the PM National Dialysis Programme in district level hospitals in the state. A total of 10984 beneficiaries have been benefited so far. Continuous work is going on to provide free dialysis facilities in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The process of setting up new dialysis units in 21 districts of the state has been expedited. The establishment of these units will bring great relief to the patients as they will get accessible and free medical services in their own districts.

The services of CT Scan Units on the basis of Public Private Partnership (PPP) model in 12 districts of the state, namely Ayodhya, Barabanki, Lucknow, Lalitpur, Kanpur Nagar, Basti, Unnao, Jalaun, Kannauj, Hardoi, Fatehpur and Banda districts of the state will soon be made functional.
