National Health Authority to Conduct

The National Health Authority (NHA) will hold an Open House discussion on 6 September 2021 from 3 – 5 pm, to deliberate the development of different digital public goods under the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM), one of the government’s flagship mission aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision of digitally-enabled, affordable and accessible health coverage for all, NHA said.

To be held live through a digital mode, the Open House will facilitate a participative and transparent discussion between NHA and stakeholders, it added.

Earlier, NHA published three consultation papers on various NDHM building blocks – the Health Facility Registry (HFR), Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR), and Unified Health Interface (UHI), inviting stakeholders’ comments, feedback and suggestions. Following the publication of each paper, a public webinar was also conducted to explain the specific policy and technical and functional aspects on which consultation was sought.

The links to the webinars are available on the NDHM website: https://ndhm.gov.in/publication/consultationpapers and on NHA’s YouTube channel. All the comments received on the three consultation papers have been published on the NDHM website, https://ndhm.gov.in/publication/consultationpapers, for public viewing.

“The Open House will enable a conversation on the key questions raised in the papers and NHA requests all stakeholders to actively participate in the discussion,” it also added in a stateNational Health Authority to Conduct an Open House on NDHM; Invites Stakeholders for a Live Discussionment.

Since the pilot in August 2020, NHA has conducted several live consultations in the past with stakeholders and citizens alike to ensure that NDHM is built in an inclusive and participatory manner. “These consultations are part of extensive research, development, public and stakeholder engagement in the run-up to NDHM’s national rollout. This Open House will not only enable participants to lend their voice to the development of the digital health ecosystem in the country but also facilitate conversations between the public and the government,” it further added.

The link to the open house will shortly be shared on the NDHM website. Planned to be a two-hour-long session, the event will be divided into slots of 15 minutes each to discuss the individual consultation papers on HFR, HPR, and UHI, followed by an open floor for a Q&A session with the NHA leadership. NHA appeals to all stakeholders to participate in the open house.
