‘Atmanirbhar’ Package-accelerated structural reforms and fight against COVID continues in 2021, Nirmala Sitharaman said.

The Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman presenting the first digital budget 2021-2022 amidst the pandemic said,”Atmanirbhar Package accelerated structural reforms and fight against COVID continues in 2021.


“Rs 64,180 crore will be invested over six years to improve primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare. This is in addition to National Health Mission, announced Sitharaman.

Informing that Budget 2021 a vision for Atmanirbhar Bharat  FM, Nirmala Sitharaman, said, ” The total COVID-19 package amounts to 13 per cent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). More COVID vaccines are also expected soon.”


Further announces Rs 35,000 crore for Covid-19 vaccine, ‘The government is committed to providing more funds. The Budget outlay for health and welfare is Rs 2,23,846 crore in the 2021-22 Budget. This is a 137 per cent increase.
