The National Health Authority (NHA) has released the Draft Health Data Management Policy of the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) in the public domain. The draft which was released on the website of the NDHM 20th of August will be available for public comments and feedback is extended upto September 21.

Based on representations received so far and in order to further deepen the process of consultation on draft Health Data Management Policy for the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM), National Health Authority (NHA) initially given a week’s time has been given for ‘public consultation’ for a policy draft, now it has further extend the consultation is to 21st September 2020.


The draft Health Data Management Policy for the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) can be accessed at https://ndhm.gov.in/stakeholder_consultations/ndhm_policies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) on Independence Day 2020. Under NDHM, a unique health ID will be provided to every Indian. After Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY, the new mission is expected to further revolutionize healthcare in the country and make health services accessible to the common man in a big way.


The National Health Authority (NHA) is the apex agency of the Government of India responsible for the design, roll- out, implementation and management of Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and the National Digital Health Mission across the country.
