Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain tested positive for Corona. On Tuesday, the minister was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital after he developed breathlessness, fever and a drop in oxygen levels. He had tested negative in the first round of test.

He underwent second round of test after fever worsened. He then tested positive. The Minister wrote on Twitter, “Today my covid test found to be positive.”


The 55-year old AAP leader was first tested after he reported to the hospital with 101°F fever and 92% oxygen saturation levels. Senior doctors said his condition worsened on Tuesday night and his oxygen saturation levels dipped again.

Meanwhile, reports says some of the other AAP leaders including Kalkaji MLA Atishi, Delhi government advisor Abhinandita Mathur and AAP media panelist Akshay Marathe have also tested positive. All of them have mild symptoms and have not been admitted to any hospital.


Last week, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had tested negative for coronavirus after he went into self-isolation at his home. He had a bout of fever and throat pain.

Satyendar Jain had attended a meeting on Sunday, attended by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, Arvind Kejriwal and his Deputy Manish Sisodia. The meeting was to discuss ongoing situation in the national capital and the way forward.
