A startup with the name of BeYouPlus has been in news for raising $3.2 million in funding led by IvyCap Ventures, partnering up with local clinics, along with participation from Madison Capital and Singapore Angel Network.
The startup is known to have been focusing upon dermatological treatments and works with local clinics, in order to set up procedure rooms which treat customers at fixed prices. Residing in the Delhi-NCR region, the startup plans to use the funds in their long term plan of expanding their base.
“Dermatology clinics are today okay with having someone else managing the treatments on their premises. Rather than having to incur high cost for devices, this becomes a revenue stream for them,” said Vikram Gupta, founder and managing director at IvyCap Ventures. “It’s similar to an Oyo model, even if that’s an overused term today.”
As of now, the company is focused upon expanding its dermatology treatments across 15-20 cities in the next 18 months. Gupta said standardisation has, to some extent, taken place at the hospital level, where players like Narayana Hrudayalaya and HCG have teamed up with other hospitals to run their heart care and cancer care wards. However, not many players globally have been able to replicate that on the clinic’s front.
Aside from running the technique rooms at nearby facilities, BeYouPlus additionally has an online stage to bring clients into these centers. With the crisp subsidizing, the organization needs to work out an institutionalized appropriated model for daycare and elective medicinal strategies in India.
