India alert as passengers from ebola hit countries arrive

India was on high alert as passengers from ebola hit countries continued to arrrive. Recently, five persons out of a total of 145 who arrived at various airports in the country were found to have contact history with positive ebola cases. The Union Health Ministry said the details of the passengers had been passed on to Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme for further tracking.
The Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) is tracking passengers who may have had a contact with ebola hit cases. The details are provided to them by the Airport Health Organisation.
