New Delhi: Aragonda Apollo Medical & Educational Research Foundation and ISHA Foundation signed an MoU to start Primary School Education at Aragonda and Chittoor.

The foundation is a non-profit organization of Padma Vibushan Dr.Prathap C. Reddy, Founder Chairman – Apollo Hospitals Group. It was started as a primary school at Reddy’s birth place Aragonda Village in Chittoor District in collaboration with Isha Foundation called as Apollo Isha Vidhya Rural School.

Isha Foundation currently runs 7 rural schools for under privileged children in Tamil Nadu under the name of Isha Vidhya Rural Schools. Around 4,000 students are studying in the 7 existing Isha Vidhya Rural Schools.

The New Building of Apollo Isha Vidhya Rural School was inaugurated by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Founder, Isha Foundation in presence of Padma Vibushan Dr. Prathap C. Reddy.

Dr. Reddy has funded for building the school premises and making it operational in his own land at Aragonda as a part of his contribution to the society and people of Aragonda and Chittoor district. Isha Foundation will support this initiative by giving its Management services to make the institution as a Center of Excellence in School Education in Andhra Pradesh. Scholarships will be awarded by the Management to the underprivileged children on a case to case basis.
