
As per the research conducted by the US-based Lippincot Williams & Wilkins smartphones are making major inroads into the nursing profession in the United States.
The survey says 71 percent of surveyed nurses use smartphones as part of their daily work. The survey polled 3900 nurses and nursing students.

The greatest demand for smartphones by nurses was for checking drug related information. Of those surveyed, 85 percent said they used their smartphone in this manner.
