Joint Commission International once again demonstrates its strong support of Asia’s premier educational conference for hospital managers as a Strategic Partner. HMA, now on its ninth year will be held at the Grand Hilton Seoul, Korea on August 19 & 20, 2010.Joint Commission International helps bring Worldwide Hospital Management Thinking and Experience to senior hospital managers in Asia for eight years in a row.All over the world, health care professionals, providers, and the patients they treat are committed to ensuring patient safety and providing quality health care. The World Health Organization (WHO) designated JCI as a WHO Collaborating Center on Patient Safety with particular emphasis on patient safety solutions as part of its initiative, the World Alliance on Patient Safety.HMA 2010 is presented in cooperation with Joint Commission International, Korean Hospital Association and Asian Hospital Federation. It is organized by Exedra Events, with the support and participation of Johns Hopkins Medicine International and International Hospital Federation. The two-day conference, preceded by a day of pre conference seminars, will showcase best hospital practices from worldwide sources with expert speakers and moderators from Asia, Europe and the US bringing Worldwide Hospital Management Thinking and Experience to hospital managers in Asia.  At HMA, the delegates sharpen their skills, expand their thinking and increase their expertise to achieve a higher level of service excellence, as well as get a rare opportunity to network with fellow professionals and hospital suppliers from all over the region.Hospital Management Asia (HMA) has also announced the 28 finalists for the Asian Hospital Management Awards 2010. The finalists were chosen out of 281 entries representing 58 hospitals from 10 countries worldwide. Winners will be awarded during the Gala Dinner and Awards Night of the HMA at the Grand Hilton Seoul on August 20, 2010.An integral part of the Hospital Management Asia conference is the Asian Hospital Management Awards. The awards program recognizes and honors hospitals in Asia that carry out best hospital practices. Now in its ninth year, it is the accepted hospital management awards program for the Asia Pacific region. Awards are given to hospitals in the region that, in the opinion of the judges and advisers, have implemented or enhanced outstanding and innovative projects, programs, and best practices during the previous year.
