At its 2026 Annual General Meeting, the Adani Group revealed plans to significantly expand its presence in India’s healthcare sector through the development of integrated healthcare campuses in Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
The proposed facilities will include 1,000-bed multi-specialty hospitals, medical colleges, research centers, and transitional care units. The initiative aims to combine medical treatment, education, and research within a single healthcare ecosystem to improve accessibility and strengthen healthcare infrastructure.
Chairman Gautam Adani stated that these projects are part of the group’s broader commitment to social development and public welfare. The healthcare campuses are expected to support clinical care while also contributing to medical education and research activities.
The company highlighted the role of the Adani Foundation, which has been involved in healthcare, education, and community development programs across several states. The foundation currently reaches millions of people through various social initiatives.
In addition to hospital infrastructure, the group plans to strengthen healthcare services in rural areas, including vision care programs and community health initiatives. The company also emphasized the importance of employee welfare, focusing on healthcare access, safe working environments, and medical support for its workforce.
The announcement reflects the group’s growing interest in social infrastructure alongside its investments in energy, transport, and industrial sectors. By integrating healthcare delivery, education, and research, the proposed projects are expected to contribute to India’s expanding healthcare ecosystem and help address future medical and workforce needs.
