Max Hospital Healthcare, Saket a designated Centre Of Excellence (COE) for Hemodiafiltration in dialysis therapy, has commendably conducted India’s first HDF certification workshop for nephrologists. The initiative aims to strengthen clinical expertise and improve patient outcomes by equipping healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills required to expand the adoption of advanced dialysis therapies in the country.

 The one day program brought over 50 nephrologists and dialysis professionals, offering a comprehensive curriculum that combined clinical concepts, hands on sessions, and case based learning. Participants also toured Max’s advanced dialysis unit to observe HDF enabled machines, a medical grade water treat treatment system, and a central delivery system in practice.

Dr. Dinesh Khullar, Chairman Nephrology & Renal Transplant Medicine at Max Hospital Saket who led the program said, “We are proud to lead this training program for nephrologists and dialysis professionals. This is a program built by clinicians, for clinicians with the goal of advancing kidney care through shared knowledge, evidence-based practice, and hands-on learning.”

HDF therapy offers improved toxin clearance and enhanced patient outcomes, with clinical studies indicating a 23% better survival rate than the standard high-flix hemodialysis. It is also proven to improve patient’s quality of life and long term treatment results.

 The successful rollout of this certification marks a significant milestone in capacity building and professional development within India’s nephrology community. Max Hospital has announced plans to scale similar programs under its Centres of Excellence to foster learning, collaboration and wide adoption of advanced therapies.
