In a significant boost to India’s evolving healthtech landscape, Lifechart—a growing player in the gut health domain—has secured $360,000 in additional seed funding for its newly launched brand, Guttify. The round was led by Prajay Advisors, the family office of Unichem Laboratories’ founders, Dr. Prakash Mody and Jayendra Shah, reinforcing investor confidence in the company’s disruptive, diagnosis-first approach.
With this latest capital infusion, Lifechart’s cumulative funding has now exceeded $1 million, remarkably within a few months of its initial seed round in October 2024. Previous investors include global accelerator Expert Dojo, Agility Ventures, Sunn91 Ventures, and high-profile angels such as Nitish Mittersain of Nazara Technologies and Ahana Gautam of Open Secret.
Launched just weeks ago, Guttify has emerged as India’s first diagnosis-led gut health brand, targeting the country’s rapidly expanding $18 billion gut wellness sector. Unlike conventional direct-to-consumer (D2C) models that offer generalised wellness solutions, Guttify integrates at-home diagnostics, clinically backed products, and personalised care pathways anchored in Ayurveda and modern science.
A New Chapter in Preventive Healthcare
Guttify’s debut product, a ph-based saliva test for acidity detection, is already available via its online platform. Priced affordably, with future kits expected to launch at INR 99, these offerings are designed to bridge the gap in early detection and tailored gut care—an unmet need in the Indian market where over 60% of the population experiences gastrointestinal issues without proper diagnosis.

The freshly raised funds will be utilized to expand Lifechart’s R&D capabilities in diagnostics, bolster product development, and enhance distribution across urban and semi-urban markets. Guttify aims to target Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities initially, with a long-term vision of penetrating deeper into Bharat’s wellness ecosystem.
