In a strategic move aimed at enhancing its leadership team, Apollo Hospitals Group has appointed Dr. Madhu Sasidhar as the President & CEO of its Hospitals Division. Dr. Sasidhar’s appointment comes as part of a planned transition, following the retirement of the outgoing President, K Hari Prasad, who has served Apollo for an illustrious 27 years.

Bringing a wealth of experience to his new role, Dr. Sasidhar previously held various key positions at the renowned Cleveland Clinic, including President of Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital. With US board certifications in internal medicine, pulmonary, and critical care medicine, Dr. Sasidhar is not only a seasoned clinician but also a published author with significant contributions to medical literature including book chapters, journal articles, and peer-reviewed publications.

Moreover, Dr. Sasidhar’s expertise extends beyond clinical practice, as he is a self-taught programmer with a patent under his belt for a technology he developed at Cleveland Clinic Innovations. His educational background includes medical training at JIPMER, Pondicherry, followed by further studies and fellowships at prestigious institutions such as St Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, Yale University, and INSEAD.
