Ministry of Ayush and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced their commitment to ‘Integrative Health’ as a priority for the general public’s health and well-being at the start of the two-day National Ayush Mission Conclave. Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, stood as the keynote speaker as Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Cabinet Minister for Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways, formally inaugurated the conclave.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Ayush announced two ICT initiatives. Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai, the minister of state for Ayush, as well as ministers of health and Ayush from other states, including Jammu and Kashmir, were also present. According to Shri Sonowal, who presided over the event, “Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has encouraged Ayush and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to work together for Health and Wellness.” On this front, India will need to set the global standard. Our resolve and strength have increased significantly as a result of both Ministries’ relentless work. Because of the effectiveness of the Indian traditional medicine systems, WHO has also given Jamnagar a WHO-GCTM facility.

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya emphasised the importance of integrative medicine and stated that the most pressing issue of the day is to ensure the health of every Indian person. An “Integrative Health” policy will soon be released by both Ministries.

“Ayush with its holistic and integrative approach, can significantly contribute to reducing the burden of disease in India,” stated Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai, Minister of Ayush for Ayush.

The Union Cabinet has given the go-ahead for the progressive operationalization of 12,500 Ayush HWCs by modernising existing Ayush Dispensaries/Health Sub-Centers through State/UT Governments in a centrally sponsored scheme format. Over 8500 AHWCs have been established and are currently providing services to communities throughout India.
