Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya

Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya, emphasised on Sunday that all AIIMS must provide top-notch clinical care, the highest levels of medical education, and cutting-edge research in order to become centres of global excellence, as per reports from PTI.

He urged members of all AIIMS to examine other institutions of national importance, like the IITs and IIMs when addressing the sixth meeting of the Central Institute Body (CIB) of all new AIIMS in Bhubaneswar. The top decision-making body for all AIIMS is the CIB, which has the authority to make decisions about finances, infrastructure, job openings, hiring, the application of policies, difficulties, and procurement.

“This CIB is not only for review of the compliance of earlier decisions but is also a ‘Chintan Shivir’ for pooling in insights, fresh ideas, innovative thoughts and suggestions based on rich experience and expertise of all participants”, Mandaviya said. All AIIMS, according to him, are important national tertiary care institutions, and the goal is to transform them into centres of international excellence. According to the Union Minister, this is only possible with top-notch clinical care, the highest standards of medical education, and cutting-edge research.

Mandaviya encouraged all AIIMS directors to develop novel models of operating and propose them at the upcoming CIB meeting, highlighting the importance of developing metadata for Artificial Intelligence and a professional work environment that may produce superior results.

In addition, he urged everyone in authority to continue striving to make AIIMS competitive with the best in the world, according to an official release.
