Curfew Imposed in Delhi

In yet another attempt to contain the rising rate of the Covid-19 cases in Delhi, the Government of NCT of Delhi announced a curfew that will be enforced from Monday night till next Monday morning.

The decision was arrived at after a meeting between Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal along with senior government officials was held on Monday morning to take the stock of the Covid-19 situation in Delhi.

The national capital is among the worst-hit cities in the country. Earlier, the government had enforced a night curfew from 10 pm-5 am till April 30 followed by a weekend curfew that ended today morning.

The national capital on Sunday registered the biggest spike in its daily Covid count with 25,462 new cases and the positivity rate surging up to 29.74%.
