The Rajasthan government has taken the decision for extending the night curfew in 10 urban areas of the state till 30 April as the Covid-19 cases continue to soar. This came after a meeting that was chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for reviewing the Corona situation in the state.
The state government has also changed the time of the curfew, which will be enforced between 8 pm and 6 am in nine urban areas, including Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, and Abu Road. It has also ordered to shut markets by 7 pm to close regular classes in schools up to Class-9 in rural areas and adjoining urban areas. Rajasthan has registered 3,970 news coronavirus infections and 12 deaths.
Also, Chief Minister Gehlot has told officials for ensuring zero-mobility in micro-containment zones for preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus. Gehlot told the health officials to increase the count of testing as well as contact tracing of Corona positive patients to be able to break the transmission chain of the deadly virus.
