
India reported 75,083 fresh cases of the COVID-19, the lowest since late August, and over 1 lakh coronavirus recoveries in a single-day for the first time. As per the official data released by the Union Health Ministry, the recovery rate has improved to 80.86 percent.
The last time India reported less than 75,000 Covid-19 cases was on August 26. There were 67,151 infections that day, according to official data. In last 24 hours, 1,01,468 COVID-19 patients were declared cured of coronavirus, pushing the overall recovery figure to 44,97,867.

“India has recorded very high single day recoveries successively during the last 3 days. More than 90,000 #COVID19 patients have been cured and discharged from home/facility isolation and hospitals every single day,” the health ministry tweeted.
“Kudos to India’s frontline health workers! The country achieves record high of 1,01,468 #COVID19 RECOVERIES in the last 24 hours,” it added.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to chair a high-level virtual meeting with Chief Minister of seven States on Wednesday to take stock of the situation and preparedness to tackle the pandemic.
