Amitabh Bacchan stable with mild covid-19 symptoms: Nanavati Hospital

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bacchan who was tested positive and admitted at Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai on Saturday evening, is stable with mild symptoms, the hospital said.


Meanwhile a report says that two residences of the actor – Jalsa and Janak – have been sealed and declared containment zone.

Some reports also suggest that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya have also tested positive for Coronavirus, while Jaya Bachchan has tested negative, though there is no official confirmation.


On Saturday evening, both senior Bacchan and son Abhishek took to social media to state that they were tested Corona positive. “I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !,” Amitabh had posted on his timeline.

Later Abhishek also posted similar tweet: “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic.”

Late Saturday, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope announced that both of them undergone rapid antigen testing.

Senior Bacchan has also released a video from the hospital where he applauded healthcare staff including doctors, nurses and para medical staff who are serving humanity putting their lives at risk. He also equated them to god. In the video, he motivated people stating that things are little despairing at the moment, but it would be all right soon. Listen entire video here.
