On the completion of one year of its second term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has listed out several initiatives, achievements and big decisions undertaken by his government.

He also underscored the government’s resolute effort to improve the public healthcare delivery system. In coming days focus will be on to bolster public health infrastructure, he said.


“In the times to come, healthcare will assume assume even greater importance. We in India have been working to create a system where the poor have access to top quality and affordable healthcare,” Modi was quoted as saying by TOI report. His comment comes as country is trying to overpower corona pandemic and infrastructure proving to be obstacle to enable quality care to people at large.

Ayushman Bharat is among several key decisions undertaken in health sector to improve lives of poor and underprivileged in six years.

Modi also highlighted importance of making India self reliance or ‘Aaatmnirbhar Bharat’ with agriculture and farmers playing key roles.


“India is extremely proud of our farmers. We are energising the agriculture sector with reforms and measures that improve the lives of farmers, ensure better markets and eliminate the the role of middlemen,” said Modi.

On this occasion, he also wrote an open letter to all countrymen. In his letter, PM Modi thanked the people of India for the faith they have shown in him. The prime minister congratulated the people in the resolve they have shown during these testing times and asked them to continue to be an example for the world.
