Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has been shifted to a private hospital after his condition started deteriorating. He has also been diagnosed with Pneumonia.

The 55-year-old APP leader has now been kept on total oxygen support as his oxygen saturation level (Spo2) dipped, according to doctors treating him. He will be given plasma therapy at Saket’s Max Hospital as his lung infection increased, as per ANI report.


“His latest CT scan report shows that the pneumonia patches in his lungs have increased. He experienced increased giddiness and tiredness today. The advice of doctors will be followed,” Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was quoted saying.

The Health Minister tested positive on Wednesday a day after he was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital (RGSSH), following high fever and breathing issue. Earlier, the Union Home Minister wished him speedy recovery.

“Praying for the speedy recovery of Shri Satyendra Jain, Health Minister of Delhi who is battling with COVID-19 infection,” he tweeted.

Lt Governor Anil Baijal also wished him good health. “Praying for speedy recovery & good health of Hon’ble Minister, GNCTD @Satyendar Jain Ji,” he tweeted.
