Aarogya Setu app

The Government has launched Aarogya Setu Mitr portal on PPP mode to help people to cope up with the Coronavirus crisis in a better and strategic way.

The portal which is available on Aarogya Setu app, offers free telemedicine and consultation services for coronavirus-related inquiries from Tata Group, Tech Mahindra and Swasth. It also has facility wherein users can book lab tests from 1mg, Dr Lal Pathlabs, Metropolis, SRL Diagnostics and Thyrocare. The objective of the initiative is to encourage people to stay at home during lockdown and making them available medical facility at their doorsteps.


As per a report, the portal, developed in a public-private partnership (PPP), aims to revamp the Aarogya Setu app to create a one-stop solution equipped with healthcare facilities, remote healthcare, and medical staff support.

“The services listed on the portal are part of a collaboration between the public and private sectors. The use of each service linked from the portal is governed by the Service Provider’s Privacy policy and their respective terms of service,” Aarogya Setu Mitr portal highlighted.

As per the privacy policy, Mitr will collect the user’s IP address, postal code and details of the device used for providing services.
