The Punjab Government is soon going to introduce patient feedback forms in hospitals.

In order to analyse and rectify the problems faced by the patients across the state, the Punjab Government is soon going to introduce patient feedback forms in hospitals.

According to an official release the necessary directions have been given by Vini Mahajan, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Punjab in this regard.

At present a patient satisfaction survey through PGIMER, Chandigarh is in progress. Based on the questionnaire developed by PGIMER, this feedback format shall be developed, added the release.

The patient feedback form would emphasise on key service delivery areas at the health institutions. Also, a mechanism to install feedback boxes is being discussed and will be finalised soon.

According to Vini Mahajan this will put in more accountability and better behaviour by government hospital staff and provide better healthcare facilities to the patients.

Based on the feedback the government shall identify areas and services that need improvement.
