Patna: A tele-medicine delivery system across 212 primary health centres, 38 district hospitals and a central unit at Patna will soon be set up in Bihar.

The project to be implemented on a Build Own Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model for 3 years is a part of the National Rural Tele Medicine Ayush Network (Nartan) project.

The project will be implemented by a consortium of Bangalore-based healthcare solutions provider, KTwo Technologies and Karnataka-government owned Keonics.

The consortium has won the National Rural Tele Medicine Ayush Network (Nartan) and will set up the telemedicine delivery system in Bihar.

KTwo, with its flagship product Kshema ” Unified Healthcare System ” would set up the primary and district health centres with a command and control centre in Patna to over steer the complete operation with video conferencing facilities.

Kshema Unified Healthcare System provides medical diagnostic facilities such as blood pressure, body temperature, ECG, urine analysis, blood sugar, SPO2, audio video consultation at point-of-care and establishes video conferencing facility with a distantly-located doctor in an urban or semi-urban centre for tele-consultation.

Kshema captures electronic medical record of each patient and transmits clinical information over a network to offer tele-consultation by a doctor.

Kshema (which means well-being in Sanskrit) offers medical diagnosis, ongoing patient care and has an ability to monitor patients remotely by using applications with the underlying technologies.
