GE Healthcare recently announced that its Vscan pocket-sized visualization tool has been named the Grand Award winner for Health in Popular Science magazine’s 23rd annual “Best of What’s New” issue. Commercially available earlier this year, Vscan provides physicians powerful imaging technology at their fingertips – to take a quick look at what is happening inside a patient’s body. Roughly the size of a smartphone, Vscan houses powerful ultrasound technology that provides clinicians with an immediate, non-invasive method to help secure visual information about what is happening inside the body.
